Sustainability Practices

Farming is about more than providing consumers with high-quality, nutritious food products. It is about caring for the land and the livestock that we work with every day. We do our best to keep that principle at the forefront of everything we do.

We care for the land by implementing best management practices to reduce soil runoff and improve water quality. We care for our cattle by providing them with excellent care, nutrition, and shelter when needed. We are a Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) Level II certified producer, which ensures we abide by National BQA guidelines in animal handling, treatment, and food/product safety protocol. We also participate in the NYS Grown and Certified Program.


Our cattle are pasture-raised, utilizing rotational grazing practices to build soil organic matter and keep fresh green grass under their hooves at all times. Later in life, our cattle are fed a specially formulated ration of our homegrown forages and grains. Our feed program provides the cattle with all the necessary vitamins and minerals to thrive and be healthy, as well as
imparting an excellent flavor and marbling throughout the meat.
